X-Ray Viewer Puzzle (Hospital)

On this page, you will find the complete solution to the Brookhaven Hospital X-ray viewer puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake (2024) on all difficulty levels (light, standard, hard).

On the third floor of the hospital's X-ray room, you will find a lit X-ray viewer with two radiographs attached to it. To solve the puzzle and learn the Room D1 combination lock code, you will need to find two more radiographs scattered around the hospital and align them correctly on an X-ray viewer.

Note: You can skip collecting the radiographs and solving this puzzle entirely as the code for the Room D1 combination lock will always be the same.

Collecting the Items

First, you will need to find the two missing radiographs.

Location of the Radiograph of a Pelvis

The Radiograph of a Pelvis is on the examination table under the X-ray Memo next to the x-ray viewer.
Location of the Moldy Radiograph

The Moldy Radiograph is in the bathtub in the 2F Treatment Room, accessible through the Nurses' Station. You will need to enter the code you learned through another puzzle.
Location of the Mold Remover

The Mold Remover is in the Kitchen on the first floor, sitting on the garbage chute's hatch. You can access this area using the 1F Inner Ward Key found on the desk inside Exam Room 5.
Cleaned Up Radiograph

Combine the Moldy Radiograph with the Mold Remover to get the Cleaned Up Radiograph.
You can now return to the X-Ray Room on the third floor.

Solution

Place the remaining radiographs onto the x-ray viewer.

To learn the hidden combination, you must move and rotate the radiographs to align with the markings on the viewer. On light and standard riddle difficulty, this task will not be very hard.

For hard riddle difficulty, there will be fewer markings to guide you, but the radiograph placement will be the same.

Correct arrangement of the radiographs will reveal the numbers 4, 37, 12. Use them to enter Room D1 on the same floor.

Room D1 combination lock

The marks on the door next to the combination lock will tell you which direction you should rotate it:

  • Right to 4, left to 37, right to 12. Press the button to confirm.

Inside the room, you will find a Filthy Bracelet on the bed needed for another puzzle.
