Director's Office Hand Puzzle (Hospital)

On this page, you will find the complete solution to the Brookhaven Hospital hand puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake (2024). The correct solution will be the same for all riddle difficulty levels.

After making your way to the hospital's second floor, you will reach the Director's Office, where you will find a hand on the desk with a key in its tight grasp. To get the key, you will need to find three bracelets scattered around the hospital to put on the hand and make it release the key.

Collecting the Bracelets

Finding the Marked Bracelet

Utility room wall hole

The Marked Bracelet will be in 1F Medical Records. To get there, find the L1 Room Key on a coffee table inside the 2F Nurses’ Lounge. Using the key, go to Room L1 and crawl into the next room using the trolley. Proceed into the Utility Room to find a hole in the wall. Use it to get to the first floor and you will finally find yourself in Medical Records.

Take the Marked Bracelet sitting on the book in the corner of the room.

Finding the Filthy Bracelet

Location of the Filthy Bracelet

The Filthy Bracelet is locked in 3F Room D1. The combination lock code is learned through the X-ray viewer puzzle. After entering the room, check the bed to find the bracelet.

Finding the Bloodstained Bracelet

The last bracelet will require collecting some additional items first.

Location of the Bent Needle

Collect the Bent Needle inside the 2F Women’s Locker Room. To get the item, interact with the teddy bear on a chair.
Location of the Medical Tube

Take the Medical Tube sitting on a sink inside the Shower Room of the Pool.
Medical Tube with Bent Needle

Combine the Medical Tube with the Bent Needle in your inventory.
Location of the Maintenance Key

Go to 1F Pharmacy and use the Medical Tube with Bent Needle attached on the drain to get the Maintenance Key.
Pool trap door

Return to the Pool and use the key on the trap door. Turn the valve to drain the pool.
Location of the Bloodstained Bracelet

Step inside the drained pool and smash the wall with a crying eye symbol on it to find the Bloodstained Bracelet.

With all the bracelets in your inventory, return to the Director's Office.

Solution

Looking closely, you will see that the stains on the hand differ in nature: blood, black marker stains and dirt. Place the bracelets on the hand and rotate them to match the background in the following order, top to bottom:

  1. Bloodstained Bracelet
  2. Marked Bracelet
  3. Filthy Bracelet

The resulting code is 92, 45, 71.
