Silent Hill 2 Textures Explorer is an open-source tool that allows viewing/extraction and editing of any texture resource in the game (including levels and models).

It can load these types of resources:

• *.tex and *.tbn2 - standalone textures files (tbn2 can contain more than 1 texture)
• *.mdl - models from the game, usually contain more than 1 texture
• *.map - levels from the game, usually contain more than 1 texture

The tool was tested and used by the authors of the Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition pack.
