The Box began as a Silent Hill proposal, however it is unclear if Konami were ever presented the project, as Silicon Knights soon partnered with SEGA to produce the game. The Box was supposed to be an “open world third person survival horror experience” for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. After the project was abandoned by SEGA, it was picked up by THQ and renamed The Ritualyst. There is no known media from this point in its development. The Box / The Ritualyst was eventually canned in 2009.[1]
